Vocation reflections Our world today is a challenging place to live for many. Like the rich young man, sometimes our desire for things gets in the way of God’s call. Jesus challenges the man to make a radical step in his life and come follow him. Is Jesus reaching out to you with that same call? If so, please contact the Vocations Office at 973-497-4365 or by e-mail at platebri@rcan.org or visit our website at www.rcan.org. Page 2 Top
SCRIPTURE REFLECTION Stewardship is an important concept for our spiritual growth as Catholics. It is a way of thanking God for all His blessings by returning to Him a portion of the time, talent and treasure we have received.
HOLY HOUR Every Tuesday, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the church from 3 to 4 p.m. It is an hour of prayer for the priests, DIVINE MERCY and religious men and women of the church. Prayers are also said for an increase of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We invite you to come and spend time with the Lord for these intentions and for your personal requests.

Second CollectionIn the celebration of World Mission Sunday next Sunday, October 19th, we see clearly the missionary meaning of the words of the Third Eucharistic Prayer: “Father...from age to age you gather a people to yourself, so that from east to west a perfect offering may be made to the glory of your name.” Throughout the year, and especially on World Mission Sunday when the whole world prays for the Church’s missionary work at the Eucharist of the Lord, we take part in the unending mission of Jesus - to call all peoples and nations to the banquet of His Body and Blood.
